Last May, the French Agency for Development (AFD) launched a Network on Sahel bringing together its agents working in the Sahel and their close partners in French institutions or in the Sahel.

Christophe Angely (Ferdi) participated in this second session as a representative of the Sahel Chair to discuss and exchange on the theme of knowledge promotion and AFD's Sahel strategy.

At this meeting, were presented:

    - a Research axis: presentation of a mapping of northern and southern research institutions and teams based in the Sahel, as well as future research projects financed by AFD in the area;
    - an Operational axis: presentation of the progress of AFD's Grand Sahel strategy
