Politiques commerciales et environnement
Tous les pays s’étaient mis d’accord, à Cancun en Décembre 2010, pour réduire les gaz à effet de serre, se conformer aux contrôles externes de leurs émissions et poursuivre les négociations multilatérales sous les auspices des Nations unies. Peu de décisions concrètes avaient alors été prises et beaucoup d’éléments restaient sur la table des négociations. La crainte demeure que les objectifs liés au commerce et au changement climatique n’entrent en collision.
La Ferdi développe ses activités sur ce thème afin d'apporter un éclairage sur la façon dont les interactions entre commerce et politiques climatiques favorisent ou freinent l’adoption de politiques d’atténuation efficaces. Elle intervient lors des conférences portant sur les relations entre commerce et environnement et sur la croissance verte.
