Biographie

Vianney Dequiedt is professor of Economics at Université Clermont Auvergne and a researcher at the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI). He is scientific leader of Labex IDGM+ and scientific director at FERDI.

His research interests cover development economics, public economics, and game theory. His work has been published in prestigious academic journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Theory and the Journal of Development Economics. 

He graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris), and obtained his PhD from Toulouse School of Economics in 2002. After starting his career as a research fellow at the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (France) he joined the CERDI in 2008 as a professor, and served as director from 2013 to 2016. From 2016 to 2021 he was successively Research Vice-President at Université d'Auvergne and Vice-President in charge of Collegiums at Université Clermont Auvergne. Since 2021 he has been scientific leader of the Labex IDGM+, Initiative for Development and Global Governance and  scientific director at FERDI.
