Biographie

Zakaria Sorgho is co-founder of African Centre for International Trade and Development (ACITD) based in Ouagadougou.

He holds a PhD in International Studies, specialized in International Economics and WTO Law from the Graduate Institute (HEI) at the Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He obtained a Master in International Development from the Graduate Institute (IHEID) in Geneva (Switzerland) after a Master in Macroeconomics from the University of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).


Zakaria Sorgho has much experience from different organizations (public & private) in Africa, Europe and Canada.  He is an Associate Researcher at the Centre for Inter-disciplinary Studies on International Trade and Investment (CISIT) at the Laval University. 

His broad research areas are international political economy, environmental economics and international cooperation, with an emphasis on trade policy, development policy and environment policy. He has publications in top international peer-reviewed journals and various book contributions.
